Well, the Belif train is not slowing down any time soon. Like a waiter who keeps refilling your water glass even after you politely signal that you’re good, Belif has caught on to its great potential and expanded its offerings beyond mere hydration.
I’ve been a Belif-er since I tried out their best-selling Moisturizing Bomb Cream*. Consequently, Belif is a brand I keep coming back to. I’ve frequently recommended their products, but where were my Belif reviews? Time to remedy that now.
This is a colossal review of my favorite skincare brand Belif. This is not a sponsored review. I’m writing this out of my love for the brand Belif. I did not receive any monetary compensation for writing this mega review. All opinions expressed in this review are my honest and unbiased feedback, having tried out the products personally. I also included my friends and family input, who got to know the Belif brand through me.

The Belif Brand
Belif is a Korean beauty brand that has made it quite big here in the US — you can find it featured prominently at Sephora — and they have consistently well-formulated, high-quality products that are reasonably priced.
Belif comes from “believe,” which reflects the brand’s philosophy to deliver only the best things for your skin, using high-quality, gentle, and effective ingredients and formulation. Their slogan, “believe in truth,” represents the brand’s beliefs in the “value of honesty” and the “power of the truth.”
You may have noticed “Napier’s formula” appearing on their packaging. Belif inherits the spirit and the herbal processing method developed by Duncan Napiers. Duncan Napiers was a Scottish herbalist who opened a healing herbal shop in 1860 in Edinburgh. He owned several clinics still operating today in England. They carry many health and beauty products, some exported overseas. Their products contain a unique blend of soothing and healing herbs; many have a similar signature herbal scent.
I am curious to know how Belif obtains all these herbal processing methods. The Napiers website does sell some of the Belif skincare products. The brand may pay the franchises.
I love how this story goes from Great Britain to Korea and back to the US. Truly a global brand, Belif also promises to be a “true” skincare brand. That is, they use truthfulness and transparency in their ingredients and in sourcing them. While I haven’t dug into their claims of honesty, it’s a great mission statement to have as your brand’s flagship.
Belif is the Korean version of Dr. Wu, Neogen, Neogence, Kiehl’s, and Hada Labo, among which Kiehl’s shares the most similarity with Belif. Of all these brands, I like Belif the most because I love how their products feel on my skin, their scent, performance, and product range. I previously used Kiehl, Hada Labo, and Dr. Wu skincare products. None match the application and efficacy of the Belif products. However, YMMV, when it comes to skincare products, so it is essential that you do more research and patch test before jumping on the bandwagon.
My Experience with the Belif Brand
I heard about Belif when I first dove into the Kbeauty trend. I got to know Belif skincare right from the beginning. I wanted to try it, so I included some of the Beliefs miniatures in one of my Tester Korea hauls in 2015. And it was the Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb* that got me super hooked. All these fantastic products I share in this mega review combine my purchases, gifts with purchases, sample sachets, family purchases, and friends’ purchases. It took me two years to accumulate these Belif skincare products.
Belif Cleansing Herb Water Review
I use the Belif Cleansing Herb Water* on a cotton pad as the first step of my cleansing routine. I follow that up with a foam cleanser or rinse it thoroughly with water, but rinsing is not mandatory.
This toner contains eucalyptus leaf oil, also known as blue gum. Eucalyptus has many known skin benefits, notably its anti-bacterial, anti-acne, and anti-inflammatory properties. Its oil extract is also a fragrance oil commonly added to skincare products to offer extra wound-healing and antiseptic benefits.
Also, this cleansing water uses relatively gentle and safe olive oil-derived surfactants. About 5% of it are herbal extracts, among which Saint John’s Wort, Burdock, and Dill are what Belif calls a “tri-herb tea complex” to leave the skin fresh and clean after use.
Having tried out a bunch of cleansing waters, this is not among my favorites. It can remove makeup and sunscreen but is not as “refreshing” as I like cleansing waters. I prefer products like Huxley Cleansing Water Be Clean Be Moist* and Rovectin Clean Marine Micellar Deep Cleansing Water*, which feel hydrating and refreshing on the skin. A friend with sensitive skin loves using this, though, as she cannot use many cleansing products that fit her.
I will not purchase another full-size product after I finish using this. Still, I recommend it to those who want something like Bioderma*.
Ideal for: all skin types
Pros:
- Good for sensitive skin
Cons:
- None

Belif Aqua Bomb Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm
Belif Aqua Bomb Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm is a cleansing oil in the form of a balm that should be used at the first step of your cleansing routine.
It has a sherbet texture and melts onto your skin into an oil-like substance, gently removing makeup and impurities from your skin and leaving it super soft. It lathers up beautifully into a milky consistency and rinses off easily. I like not having to tug at my skin to cleanse; it’s gentle, effective, and emulsifies well. This cleansing balm also contains two mint extracts that offer an extra refreshing and cooling sensation for acne-prone and oily skin.
Also, it doesn’t irritate my eyes or cause them to go blurry. I can’t tell you how many balms I’ve used that do this. It removes all my makeup but struggles to remove my waterproof eyeliner (no worries though, literally no cleansers can remove it easily, thanks NYX cosmetics for a bomb eyeliner*).
I love the smell, a heavenly citrus scent. It is the signature for their Aqua Bomb line.
It’s fair to call this a moisturizing, soothing, gentle cleansing product with a therapeutic aroma and lovely texture! It is excellent for all skin types.
Pros:
- Gentle yet effective
- Convenient, travel-friendly
- It contains many soothing and anti-oxidizing ingredients
- It has a cute spatula, so you don’t contaminate the jar when you cleanse your skin.
Cons:
- If you are sensitive to citrus extracts, patch test first.

Belif Numero 10 Essence Review
Belif Numero 10 Essence* is a skin booster that should be used on a damp face, as using it on a dry face might leave a tacky finish. Belif recommends you use this within 10 seconds after cleansing when the skin is still wet to replenish moisture on your skin.
Belif Numero 10 Essence* has a watery gel consistency that spreads beautifully on the skin. It is very gentle and soothing for the skin. It can always calm my skin down whenever it feels dry or irritated. It also supplies lightweight but abundant moisture to my skin. My best friend with highly sensitive skin adores this and finds this works better than the Hungarian Water Essence*. Another friend with breakout-prone and sensitive skin prefers this over any Belif essences. She finds this gentler and more effective at calming her skin than the Tincture of Chamomile*.
This is one of my holy grails. I find it effective at calming and moisturizing my skin after cleansing. When I am super lazy, I slather this onto my face and let it hold the moisture for 2-3 hours. I continue my nighttime routine after finishing the rest of my work.
I have repurchased the limited 150ml edition as a backup. Suitable for all skin types, excellent for dehydrated, dry, sensitive, and flaky skin. People with acne-prone skin can also use this because the essence contains many acne-calming ingredients.

Belif The True Tincture of Chamomile Review
Belif The True Tincture of Chamomile* is a skin booster that functions like a blood circulation-improving essence and skin conditioner. Usually, you use this after your toner as the essence is rich in consistency. But you can also use this right after cleansing if your skin finds it applies better this way. This is not a first essence, although it shares some properties of the first treatment essence.
A tincture is an essence extracted by dissolving herbal ingredients in alcohol. Typically, we dissolve our herbal ingredients in water. Still, sometimes water is insufficient as a solvent as some components in these herbal ingredients are not water-soluble. Belif’s Tincture of Chamomile* contains a whopping 86% pure organic chamomile tincture.
If you want to know more about Belif The True Tincture of Chamomile’s ingredients and why I have repurchased it repeatedly, despite its price, check out my in-depth review.
Belif The True Tincture of Chamomile is my mom’s holy grail. It helps to eliminate dullness and reduce the appearance of blackheads and pores by improving blood circulation to her skin. It’s also effective in calming down and soothing her easily irritated skin and protects her from harmful pollutants and environmental damage since she travels a lot. My best friend with extremely sensitive and dull skin, who survives mainly on Avene products*, also adores this. She finds this has soothed, moisturized, and revitalized her skin “naturally.” Most people achieve this with scrubs or chemical exfoliants, which she cannot do since she has very sensitive skin. Not all sensitive skin is suitable for this, though, as another friend of mine finds this irritating. She prefers the Cosrx Full Fit Propolis Synergy Toner*.
I enjoy how my skin wakes up looking vibrant, healthy, and soft the next day, but I don’t see many improvements in blackheads. I have normal to dry skin, so I sometimes find this too rich and will leave my skin feeling tacky, so I apply this on a damp face. Only BHA can tackle my stubborn blackheads, so I still experiment with BHA under different skin conditions.
Ideal for dull, sensitive, rough, dehydrated, and unhealthy skin. Those allergic to alcohol should patch test before using.

Belif Witch Hazel Herbal Extract Toner Review
Belif Witch Hazel Herbal Extract Toner is a moisturizing toner for normal to dry skin. You use this after cleansing and before a serum and moisturizer. Clean your face thoroughly before using this, as this cannot cleanse.
The toner has a pearly white consistency that gets absorbed quickly into the skin without leaving any sticky residue. All of my friends who have tried it love it at first, but as their skin becomes more balanced over time, this may become richer, so you usually find this richer over time. My best friend with extremely sensitive and dehydrated skin adores Belif Witch Hazel Toner. As for me, I love this but see this getting richer over time, so I sometimes skip my emulsion and jump right into a moisturizer after using this. My mom, who used to love this, has moved on to the Belif Aqua Bomb Hydrating Toner*.
I might not repurchase since my skin is less dry now, so this toner has become rich for my liking. Still, I highly recommend it for individuals with dry, dehydrated, flaky, dull, and sensitive skin, as it can soothe, moisturize, and revitalize your skin!

Belif Hungarian Water Essence Review
Belif Hungarian Water Essence* is a hydrating water-based essence formulated with a blend of herbal extracts to keep the skin soft and plump for long hours. You use this after your toner and before your moisturizer. If I use it with other essences, I layer it according to the consistency of products from lightest to heaviest.
As it is named, the Belif Hungarian Water Essence is applied cool like a spritz of water. It clings to the skin lightly and gets absorbed instantly. My skin drinks this up immediately like it’s been in the desert for months. My skin instantly feels refreshed and hydrated. It soothes the skin immediately and hydrates without stickiness, prolonging suppleness and softness.
Still, it is too mild and light to benefit my skin significantly. It is good but could be more memorable.
This is an excellent introductory product for those who have just started their skincare routine or those who hate feeling like there are layers of stuff on the face.
I will not repurchase since I still have a lot of miniatures left and need help finding this worth the money I am paying for. But if you have normal to oily skin and want a shot of moisture, you can try this.

Belif Classic Essence Increment Review
Belif Classic Essence Increment* is a nourishing essence that can offer up to 24 hours of moisture on your skin while improving your skin’s elasticity and texture. It is one of the best-selling items in Belif due to the colder weather there.
Belif Classic Essence Increment* contains emollients and skin-nourishing ingredients such as squalane, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Panthenol, and Sodium Hyaluronate. Key herbal ingredients are heartsease extract, chickweed extract, and catnip extract. These are commonly found ingredients in other Belif skincare products formulated with Napiers’ Moisture Herb Complex. They are infused with many vitamins and minerals to soften, soothe and improve skin elasticity.
This is a very nourishing essence. It feels rich on my normal skin, so it will only suit mature and drier skin. This is quite helpful in winter as it can protect your skin from harsh cold weather.
I don’t enjoy using this essence. I prefer to layer multiple lightweight hydrating products than slapping a rich product on my face. Still, I can see why certain people find this useful.
It is ideal for drier, more mature skin and is also suitable for wintertime use.

Belif Peat Miracle Revital Serum Concentrate Review
Belif Peat Miracle Revital Serum Concentrate* is an anti-aging and wrinkles repairing serum made of peat extract.
Usually, I use serum after toners and essences and before heavier serums. Belif Peat Miracle Revital Serum Concentrate * is lighter than many other serums. Therefore the sequence of my treatment products is not essential as long as they get absorbed into my skin.
I love the consistency of this serum. It blends like a watery gel but gets absorbed fast, like an ampoule.
My mom is the biggest fan of this peat serum. She can afford it, of course, but she also finds this lightweight enough on her combination skin. She has aging skin with big pores, sagging skin, and wrinkles. The peat extract in this Belif Peat Miracle Revital Serum Concentrate * has helped soothe and even out the wrinkles making her skin appear younger and more resilient over time.
As for the rest of us under 30, we don’t see any significant wrinkles-repairing benefits after using the Belif Peat Miracle Revital Serum Concentrate*.
My skin stays hydrated for longer and is more resilient to stressors after using. I also suffer from lesser breakouts, and my texture is more refined, which works like a preventive serum.
My friend in her 30s says she doesn’t feel a thing after using Belif Peat Miracle Revital Serum Concentrate*. It doesn’t make any difference to her sensitive and rough-textured skin. However, another friend with breakout-prone skin says that this product has reduced her breakouts and accelerated the healing of her acne scars. The feedback is very divided for something that claims to be so potent.
I enjoy using it, but it is a little pricey given its quantity and performance, so it is up to you whether you want to try Belif Peat Miracle Revital Serum Concentrate*. Ideal for all skin types as wrinkles repairing and skin-improving serum.

Belif Peat Miracle Revital Eye Cream Review
Belif Peat Miracle Revital Eye Cream is a fine line and wrinkles-reducing anti-aging eye cream. It is heavier than the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb* and contains more nourishing oils. Belif Peat Miracle Revital Eye Cream is made of the humic acid of peat extract with GABA ingredients to accelerate the production of collagen, minimize the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, and nourish delicate areas around the eyes.
The consistency of this eye cream is creamy and thick. This is moisturizing and nourishing, not greasy. High on the ingredients list, it contains Portulaca Oleracea, an excellent source of antioxidants and fatty acids. It has also been found to reduce inflammation and improve the skin’s protective barrier.
The Belif Peat Miracle Revital Eye Cream better suits mature skin with weaker moisture-holding capacity. Younger skin might find it a bit heavy for daily use.
I have claimed several sachets from the Belif counter, having purchased the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb * to compare. However, I returned to the counter to buy a jar for my mom and me during my birthday month discount.
The Belif Peat Miracle Revital Eye Cream has done an equally great job minimizing the appearance of fine lines under my eyes as the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb*. The Peat Miracle Revital Eye Cream is more heavy-duty, without being overly greasy, for days when my eyes are tired. Hence, both have pros and cons, and I enjoy both.
As for my mom, she is in her 40s and feels that the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb* is no longer effective and powerful enough for her wrinkled eye area. Hence, she loves and is committed to this eye cream days and nights, claiming that it has made her eye area appear “less tired and saggy.” I am unsure about the wrinkles-reducing part because I don’t stare at her daily to see if her wrinkles have improved. Still, she told me that her eye area feels less dry and saggy, which is a positive sign that this has worked for her.
Ideal for mature or dry eyes. Younger and oily skin can check out the Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb*.

Belif Milky Hydra Balancing Moisturizer Review
Belif Milky Hydra Balancing Moisturizer is a lotion-type moisturizer known as an emulsion in Korea. You use this after toner and essence and before moisturizer. You can skip the moisturizer if you feel it has enough moisture or skip it if you prefer the cream. I like to use this in the morning for its light-weightedness and fuss-free application. The Milky Hydra Balancing Moisturizer is quick, convenient, and suitable for a busy morning.
I bought the Belif Hydra Balancing Milky Moisturizer for normal and combination skin. Belif Creamy Moisturizer Deep Moist is too creamy and rich. The Hydra Balancing has just the right texture, not too rich or light. Pretty milky and lightly creamy. I guess it is preference-based when it comes to moisturizers like these. But if you ask me, I would still prefer the Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb* cream over the Hydra Balancing milky lotion. Both are moisturizers, but the Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb* feels incredible.
I have repurchased the Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb* at least 3-4 times. Will I repurchase the Milky Moisturizer? I’m not sure.

Belif Creamy Moisturizer Deep Moist Review
Belif Creamy Moisturizer Deep Moist* is a moisturizing emulsion for dry skin types. It is a creamy and rich moisturizer that can provide your skin with long-lasting and dewy hydration. You use this after your serum and before heavier moisturizers.
Belif Creamy Moisturizer Deep Moist* is formulated with many emollients and skin-nourishing ingredients like witch hazel extract, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Panthenol, and Molokhia extract. These ingredients help keep the skin smooth, soft, and plump.
I am not a fan of emulsions, not to mention creamy and rich emulsions, so you can expect that I am not into this one. No matter how thinly I apply it, I find it greasy and not absorbing. As such, I won’t repurchase after I finish my one.

Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb Review
Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb* is a hydrating, soothing, moisturizing gel cream that refreshes and cools the skin. My holy grail, most-raved and one of the best-selling Belif skincare items worldwide.
The texture of the Belif Aqua Bomb is impressive. It has a bouncy, watery gel-cream texture that hydrates and simultaneously traps all the moisture on your skin. My skin feels super soft and silky after using this. I sometimes even apply a thicker layer as a sleeping pack whenever my skin feels dry and sensitive. It also keeps my skin balanced and hydrated for longer, and my skin no longer produces oil since it is so well hydrated.
My mom, aunty, and I are using this, and we all love this. My mom says she cannot leave the house one day without having this on. Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb* works well under her makeup to keep her skin glowing and balanced. My aunty, who has extremely sensitive skin, claims this is one of the best moisturizing creams she has ever tried. It’s genuinely a hit for all of us!
It’s ideal for all skin types and best suited for average skin that is not too oily or dry. Check out the full ingredients analysis in my Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb in-depth review!

Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb Review
Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb* is a moisturizing, soothing, and skin-protecting cream with a creamy and rich texture. A number one best-selling Belif skincare item in Korea and a much raved-up moisturizing cream among the Korean communities. It is also a numerous award-winning cream that has appeared in multiple TV shows and magazines. In other words, it is recognized and stapled as a skincare must-try.
The texture of this product is close to butter but is lighter and easier to absorb than butter. Its Comfrey leaf extract is clinically proven to retain moisture on the skin for up to 26 hours. It used to be too rich for my liking, but when I use it at night, my skin will wake up plump and soft the following day. Belif Moisturizing Bomb contains lecithin, a water-binding emollient with skin-restoring properties when used in high concentrations.
It is also beneficial as a soothing pack whenever my skin is irritated from sleep deprivation or hormonal changes. Oily skin is not advised to use this, as it will melt on your face with sweat and sebum.
Among all the creams I’ve tried with this texture, Belif Moisturizing Bomb* and Holika Holika Good Cera Super Ceramide Cream are the two that did not give me any unwanted side effects. For instance, Guerisson 9 Complex and Whamisa Organic Flowers Water Cream have turned my face into a greasy war zone.
It is ideal for normal or dry skin or individuals living in a cold and dry environment. This is a soothing and protective cream without uncomfortable greasiness. It is rich but non-greasy.

Belif Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask
Look at that chunk of 23 anti-oxidants and antioxidants added to perfect the formula of this Belif Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask.
Oat kernel extract is an excellent skin conditioner and healing ingredient for individuals with eczema, acne, and flakiness. On the other hand, Raspberry leaf extract works as an astringent to firm and tighten up the skin around the eyes.
In short, the formulation looks like a great soothing and anti-aging goodies compacted into a bouncy jello. Belif always surprises me with its great ingredients, and now it has surprised me further with its good selection of skin-soothing, firming, and moisturizing ingredients to add to this mask.
The Belif Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask is a night-time moisturizer at the last step of your routine. It blends well on the skin and will soothe and protect it from damage and irritation. Its unique bouncy texture also makes it great as a massaging cream.
Regarding its performance, I don’t think this mask can replace a moisturizer. It calms and soothes my skin but doesn’t improve fine lines and wrinkles. I noticed that my fine lines deepened when I stopped using my beloved Aqua Bomb and only used the sleeping mask. As such, you still have to use a mask if your skin is very dry or during wintertime.
But this mask will work great if you want something soothing, moisturizing, and pampering.
Pros:
- It is great to add to your routine if you can afford the additional step
Cons:
- Not enough on its own

Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb Sunscreen
Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb Sunscreen is a chemical sunscreen with SPF 50 broad spectrum protection.
Sunscreen is a very important skincare step. A morning routine should always end with sunscreen to keep your skin protected from UV damage, in addition to toner and moisturizer.
The Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb Sunscreen has a silky and smooth lotion texture. Once applied, it leaves a nice, dewy glow on your skin. It sinks into the skin seamlessly without leaving any clumps or greasiness like ordinary sunscreen, leaving behind a decent scent. The sunscreen is also water-resistant and sweat-resistant, so you can wear it to the beach and use it for most outdoor activities.
This sunscreen is very moisturizing, so it’s ideal for dry skin types or everyone in the winter. Belif is also great for sensitive skin as it is formulated without mineral oil, animal-derived ingredients, synthetic fragrances, tar, and synthetic preservatives. So far, none of my friends who use Belif have told me they have had allergic reactions.
Pros:
- No white cast
- Very moisturizing
Cons:
- It’s a bit pricey, but it fits Sephora’s price range.

Best Belif Products
I am a true fan of Belif skincare products. Out of all the products I’ve tried, I loved several. At the same time, only a few didn’t entirely fall into what I needed. I wrote this Belif skincare review to guide those who want to try Belif products but are still determining where to start.
They make dependably good products with high concentrations of high-quality herbal ingredients for a pretty reasonable price point. If I had to pick my favorite…it would be Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb*… there’s something so refreshing and skin-quenching about it. I hope you get a chance to try their products!
